Austenne Grey
About the Performer

Austenne grew up on the stage, beginning classical ballet at age 3 and dedicating over 20 years to the discipline. At age 19, she started her first business teaching voice and violin, discovering early a passion for performance and creative entrepreneurship. In her twenties, Austenne immersed herself in opera and musical theater, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in voice. She later pursued a Master's in Ethics, deepening her understanding of character motivation and moral complexity. This philosophical foundation supports the nuanced depth she brings to the variety of characters she portrays.

"I have always loved the human voice—how dynamic and distinct each one is. Every voice carries something irreplaceable, and I believe there's profound power in celebrating that uniqueness rather than trying to sound like everyone else. This philosophy drives everything I do as both a narrator and coach."

Voiceover combines her love of storytelling with the formal training she had been chasing her whole life. Austenne's extensive background in classical ballet taught her that every movement carries emotional weight, while opera training gave her the vocal flexibility and breath control essential for her specialty, long-form narration. Musical theater brought characters to vivid life, and her training in the Meisner Technique taught her the authentic connection necessary for truly immersive storytelling. This strong foundation enables her to master accents and dialects, providing unique versatility when stories demand it.

As a 27x award-nominated narrator, Austenne has created over 150 audiobooks for major publishers including Blackstone, Simon & Schuster, and Penguin Random House. This combination of extensive training and proven success enables her to create the connected, emotionally resonant experiences that both authors and listeners deserve.
